I have worked at IU6 for 20 years. I started my career here as a substitute on a part-time basis as a para in the classroom and as a one-on-one in preschool. I then became a secretary in the special-education department. I worked in the Community-Based and Community-Vocational department for 10 years. I helped coordinate transportation and contact businesses in regards to scheduling. I assisted the coordinator and helped organize by preparing documents and paperwork. In 2019, the program underwent a name change to Achieving Skills for Life (AS4L). We are a provider for Pre-ETS and the TANF programs for paid work experiences for students in the IU6 region. I love watching the students grow into independent, confident individuals and to see them succeed. I help organize paperwork and support the transition coordinator and job coaches as needed. It is a joy to work with dedicated and knowledgeable staff. Our team is awesome: T=Together, E=Everyone, A=Achieves, M=More. I would be pleased to help you learn more about our program.
